Field Note #005
When I started sharing IMIXAR publicly, my first instinct was to think about publishing.
What should I post next?
How often should I post?
Which platform should I use?
Then I realized I was asking the wrong question.
A product doesn't learn by publishing.
It learns by listening.
Every post is an opportunity to start a conversation.
Every meaningful conversation is an opportunity to improve the product.
Without that loop, publishing becomes broadcasting.
And broadcasting rarely teaches anything.
Publishing is only half the work. Listening is the other half.
Context
Building IMIXAR in public.
What changed?
Sharing progress is valuable, but only if it creates opportunities to learn from other people.
Next experiment
Treat every published Field Note as the beginning of a conversation, not the end of one.
Every Field Note captures a real decision made while building IMIXAR. Some ideas will survive. Others won't. The notes remain either way.
