Field Note #007

📅 11 July 2026 iMIXAR

When I started building IMIXAR, I thought about the relationship between product and users in a simple way.

We build something.

Users use it.

We improve it.

But building a product in an uncertain market is not a one-way process.

Users are not only the audience for the product.

They are a source of knowledge that shapes the product itself.

Through hundreds of customer comments, a different picture emerged.

People were not mainly asking for better technology.

They were asking:

"Will this color look the way I expect?"

"Will this product look right on me?"

"Can I trust what I see before buying?"

The problem was not only choosing a product.

The problem was uncertainty.

Every question, every test, and every mismatch between expectation and reality is a signal.

A signal that helps the system learn.

More confidence

The long-term advantage of IMIXAR will not only come from an algorithm.

It will come from understanding how beauty products appear in real situations, on real people, with real expectations.

Users are not just customers. They are the learning system.

Context

Changing the direction of IMIXAR from building only a virtual try-on feature toward building a system that learns from real user experiences.

What changed?

The user is no longer viewed only as someone who receives the product.

The user becomes part of the process that improves it.

Next experiment

Collect real-world comparisons, questions, and feedback to understand where predictions match reality and where they need improvement.

Every Field Note captures a real decision made while building IMIXAR. Some ideas will survive. Others won't. The notes remain either way.

This Field Note came from a real prototype.
